Barrel Lens to Hasselblad Adapter

Barrel Lens to Hasselblad Adapter
...............

The adapter consisted of two parts
................................
Barrel Lens to Hasselblad Adapter for a Californian photographer, finding a couple old brass barrel lenses, a Bausch and Lomb and a Dusseldorf, generated a desire to mount the lenses on her Hasselblad.
....
The adapter consisted of two parts. The main adapter featured the bayonet for adapting to the Hasselblad system. The length of the tube positioned the lens the correct distance from the film plane for infinity focusing. The second adapter was an extension ring which spaced the second lens and adapted to its unique mounting thread.

Pinkham and Smith 14" Bi-Quality F4.5
Sold by
Dagor77 to Photo-paapsi, US $3,501.00

Not just a nice and handsome lens, this one comes WITH the ORIGINAL CAP and flange!! A Legendary lens the Bi-Quality is one of the most sought after lenses for the portraitist/pictorialist...but then you already knew that since its you who have been driving the price of these things up like crazy. This one is in very nice shape with light signs of use and big bright glass.

The glass is uncoated so shadows are full and rich, the iris could cut cigar stubbs its so perfect and round. I can see just a couple of very fine cleaning wisps and they are small ones at that...an amazing coincidence of preservation given such a large field of glass for maladies to perform on. The lens stands a bit over 5" tall and the flange OD is also a hair over 5" so Deardorff use is indeed possible, actual mount hole need only be 4" across.

The HOLY GRAIL of "Speed" lenses. 18cm (180mm) f2.7 Ernemann Ernostar in barrel (no shutter) for 4x5.

Ernemann had its own lens design and manufacturing divisions within the company but relied heavily on the leading lens designers of C.P. Goerz and Carl Zeiss Jena which had the major portion of the market. However, Ernemann employed young designer, Ludwig Bertele, who would revolutionize the photographic industry with his high speed Ernostar lens. He later contributed the Sonnar and Biogon families of lenses to Zeiss Ikon.

The ideal way to use this would be on Sinar with Sinar shutter, or on a Speed Graphic w/focal plane shutter, or Graflex SLR (but in this configuration, it only focuses close --top of head to first button or closer), or on any view camera with either packard shutter or lens cap.
The lens is in very good condition, the glass is excellent for its age. It is of course, uncoated. We see maybe one every five years.

Ernostars are what all the other Pentac"s, Aero's, etc strive to be, but only the original has the incredible sharpness, & softness, fabulous out of focus areas, and long tonal scales.

197mm f2.5 (!!!) Cooke Anastigmat, Series X, brl.

Item Specifics - Item Condition Condition: Used

This is the extremely rare and desirous 197mm f2.5 Cooke "Speed" Anastigmat Series X. It is also referred to in the Cooke catalogue as the "Speedic" series. Normally seen in the 165mm focal length, here is an opportunity to get the more sought after longer lens.
Shoot under almost any low light setting, and get a dynamic in focus / out of focus quality unlike almost any other lens. Beautiful swirls in the out of focus areas, held together by a very sharp selected plane of focus. The lens is in barrel mount, no shutter. It is fairly large: approx.: 3 3/4" high, with a front diameter of 3.5". Flange to rear element dimension is 2.5". Flange hole diameter is about 3.5". The lens is coated. There is a very small (about 4mm) mark on the front and a couple of really small coating imperfections. None of that will matter because the lens will be about its funkiness, and softnesses. The front lip of the barrel was once dented and has now been decently straightened, but it will not take a filter. There were never any in this size anyway. This is a signature lens and will make unique images.

Enjoy it if you can. Another rare & premium optic from the Leader in Large Format lenses, in our 40th year.
